Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common cause of chronic pain in dogs. It affects 80% of dogs over the age of 8 years old, and potentially up to 35% of dogs of all ages. It is considered a welfare concern in companion animals such as dogs, especially if left untreated. It is referred to as a 'silent pain' as dogs often suffer without their guardians realising or acknowledging.

Arthritis is often considered to be a disease of old age, however unfortunately it can occur in dogs of any age. This is due to the fact that developmental joint disease, which is a disease of younger dogs, is the leading cause of arthritis.

Arthritis Support is a herbal blend to help to improve mobility, reduce inflammation, relieve pain and improve recovery from injury.

Features:

Boswellia, also known as Indian Frankincense, is traditionally used in Indian Ayurvedic Medicine for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties particularly in arthritic and rheumatic conditions.
Willow Bark has been used traditionally in Western herbal medicine as an analgesic to relieve pain and to decrease symptoms of mild arthritis and mild osteoarthritis.
Rosehip contains polyphenols and anthocyanins, which are believed to ease joint inflammation and prevent joint damage. It’s also rich in vitamin C, which has antioxidant properties. Antioxidants are substances that can override harmful molecules (free radicals) which are produced within your cells and which may cause tissue damage or disease. Other studies have found that it can reduce the production of specific enzymes that break down cartilage.

Ingredients: Boswellia Serrata (Boswellia), Zingiber officinale (Ginger), Apium graveolens (Celery Seed), Salix Alba (White Willow Bark), Glucosamine Hydrochloride, Chondroitin, Rosa canina L. (Rosehips), Menyanthes (Bog Bean), Achillea millefolium (Yarrow), Taraxacum officinale (Dandelion Root).

Directions: Give according to your pet’s weight or as recommended by your animal healthcare professional. We recommend giving with small portion of daily food intake, separate from normal meal.

Cats can be given 1/8 teaspoon twice daily

Dogs:

0-5kg - 1/4 teaspoon daily

6-15kg - 1/2 teaspoon daily

15-25kg - 1 teaspoon daily

26-35kg - 1 and 1/2 teaspoons daily

36-45kg - 2 teaspoons daily

Over 45kg- 3 teaspoons daily
